Ashley Thompson and Brittany Stinnett represented the state of Tennessee at the Level 8 Regional Championship on May 3 in Chattanooga. In attendance were the top gymnasts from eight southeastern states.
Ashley Thompson medaled for third place all around with a score of 37.2. She received first place on floor with a 9.5 and second place on the balance beam with a 9.3. Brittany Stinnett received the first place medal on floor with a score of 9.475. Both gymnasts are in the seventh grade and attend Maryville Middle School.
TNT Gymnastics is coached by Kevin McAfee and Stephanie Delapp. The gym is located on Clydesdale Street in Maryville.

TNT gymnasts culminated their hugely successful regular competition season with the Tennessee State Championship held in Knoxville on April 4-6. Competing as Level 8's were Brittany Stinnett, Ashley Thompson, and Lauren Kiningham. Outstanding performances by Optional Level 8 gymnasts Brittany Stinnett and Ashley Thompson enable them to advance to the Southeastern Regional Championship. Brittany was awarded the first place gold medal on beam with a score of 9.425 in the 12 year old division. Ashley won the 13 year old all around division with a 36.825. She received first place on bars with a 9.625, first place on beam with a 9.375, and second place on floor with a 36.825.
Amy Kiningham competed as a Level 7 and placed second on vault with a 9.425. Brianna Bonner placed third all around as a Prep-Optional 3 with a 38.15.
Prep-Optional 2 gymnasts Brianna McGuffin, Reagan Wilson, Kate Hudson, Katie Snyder, and Montana Newroth received the third place team award. Brianna McGuffin placed won the 11 year old division with a 38.45 all around score. She placed third on vault with a 9.65, first on bars with a 9.825, and third on floor with a 9.775. Reagan received first on vault with a 9.65. Kate Hudson scored a 37.65 all around for second place, 9.4 on bars for third, 9.45 on beam for first place, and a 9.75 on floor for first place. Katie Snyder received second place on bars with a 9.85.
Prep-Optional 1 competitors consisted of Sarah Caux, Chelsey DeVooght, Claire Sundahl, Hannah Lawson, and Haley Tiller. Sarah received first place on vault with a 9.95.

TNT Gymnastics attended the National Gymnastics Challenge in Athens, GA, March 14 â " 15. The highlight of the weekend was watching the top ranked University of Georgia Gym Dogs compete against UCLA.
The Prep Op Silver team won the first place team award with Sarah Caux, Chelsey DeVooght, Hannah Lawson, Claire Sundahl, and Haley Tiller. Sarah received first place all around as a 9-11 year old with a 37.125. She scored first on vault, first on bars, second on beam, and first on floor with scores of 9.6, 9.05, 8.975, and 9.5. Chelsey placed second all around in the 9-11 year division with a 36.45, second on bars with a 9.025, and first on beam with a 9.25. Hannah received second place in the 6-8 division with a 36.25 and second place on each event with scores of 9.0, 8.85, 9.275, and 9.125. Claire scored a 36.1 all around to place third as a 9-11 year old. She received third on bars with an 8.95 and second on floor with a 9.4. Haley, 12-14 years old, received first place all around with a 35.475 and first on each event with scores of 8.7, 8.75, 8.925, and 9.1.
The Prep Op Gold team consisted of Katie Snyder, Brianna McGuffin, Reagan Wilson, Kate Hudson, and Montana Newroth, and they received the second place team award. Katie came in third all around with a 36.8 and tied for second on beam with a 9.325. Brianna scored a 9.65 on floor for third place, and Reagan scored a 9.575 on vault for second place. Kate placed first all around with a 36.45. She received third on vault with a 9.1, third on bars with an 8.45, first on beam with a 9.375, and second on floor with a 9.525.
Brianna Bonner competed as a Prep Op Platinum for second place all around with a 36.6. She won first on beam with a 9.5 and second on floor with a 9.6.
Amy Kiningham received a 37.575 as a Level 7 for second all around. She placed first on vault and beam with scores of 9.6 and 9.575.
The Level 8 Team consisted of Brittany Stinnett, Ashley Thompson, and Lauren Kiningham. Brittany received third on vault and beam with scores of 8.975 and 9.225. Ashley received third on bars with a 9.3. Lauren placed second on vault, beam, and floor with scores of 8.55, 9.15, and 9.225.

TNT Gymnastics took Charleston by storm when they attended the 19th annual Charleston Cup held on February 29 - March 1 along with over 1200 athletes from 59 gyms throughout the US Southeast.

TNT gymnasts attended the Tiger Paw Classic at Clemson University's Littlejohn Coliseum January 25-27. The Level 8 team consisting of Ashley Thompson, Brittany Stinnett, Lauren Kiningham, and Amy Kinigham received third place. Ashley placed first on beam with a 9.2 and first on bars with a 9.525. Brittany received second place on floor with a 9.6, and Lauren was awarded second place on beam with a 9.2.
Prep Op 3 competitor Brianna Bonner placed third on bars with a score of 9.625.
Prep Op received the third place team award with participation from Brianna McGuffin, Kate Hudson, Katie Snyder, Reagan Wilson, and Montana Newroth. Brianna McGuffin's all around score of 37.7 earned her first place. She also placed first on vault, second on bars, and second on beam with scores of 9.25, 9.65, and 9.375. Kate Hudson placed first in her age group with a 37.025 all around scored. She was awarded first place on vault with an 8.7, second place on bars with a 9.475, second place on beam with a 9.225, and first place on floor with a 9.625. Katie Snyder scored a 9.65 on bars for second place. Reagan placed third all around with a 36.025, and she also placed third on vault, bars, and floor with an 8.6, 9.6, and 9.45. Montana received third in her age group with an all around score of 35.8. She scored an 8.75 for second on vault and a 9.45 for third on floor.
Prep Op 1 gymnasts were Claire Sundahl, Chelsey DeVooght, Sarah Caux, and Hannah Lawson. Claire scored a 37.575 for second all around. On individual events, she received second on vault, third on bars, second on beam, and second on floor with scores of 9.55, 9.175, 9.1, and 9.75. Chelsey placed third all around with a 37.275, second on vault with a 9.45, and first on bars with a 9.55. Sarah also received third in her age group with an all around score of 37.2, and she placed third on vault with a 9.65. Third place all around was also awarded to Hannah with a 36.425, and she placed second on bars with a 9.2.
In a successful first competition, Haley Tiller received first place in the Rookie division with a 37.0 all around score. She placed first on vault, beam and floor, and second on bars with scores of 9.5, 9.0, 9.2, and 9.3.
